Mauritanian official attributed to Al Qaeda suicide bombing in the east of the country.
Nouakchott, Aug. 29 .- The suicide attack last Wednesday in Nema (east of Mauritania), where three Mauritanian soldiers were wounded, can be attributed to the group Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQMI) today said Colonel Sidina Sidi Ould Heiber.
The attacker, who died on the spot belongs "to the terrorist group that we have faced and continue to face," he said quoted by the, tera gold, state newspaper "Horizons."
